I realized something today.. We are ONE WEEK away from our 2nd wedding anniversary! WHAT?!?! How is that possible?!
******************************************
What a week it has been!
The HomeLife Magazine April issue (featuring my article) is officially on the shelves and out to the churches who subsribe, so check that out if you haven't already!
We still dont have a new apartment to move to once our lease is up in May, until last night we didn't have groceries in the fridge, and don't even get me started on how much laundry I still have to do..
BUT!!
Friday we got to meet our new niece, Camryn. She was born March 31st, and she is pretty great if you ask us :)
Micah even caught a little bit of a smile from her in the picture he took of me :) too bad I wasn't looking...
This weekend we actually stayed home! For the first time since February we didn't travel and it was nice. I vacuumed the apartment, cooked some meals in my kitchen and got to relax a little bit.
However, just because we were home didn't mean we got to be alone.
On Saturday my friend Hannah and her little boy came up to visit. We have lived here for almost a year and this was the first time we were able to get together. We took her son to the Children's museum here in town. I had heard that our town had a children's museum, but never been since we have no kids.
For $7, this place was wonderful. I don't know who had more fun, the adults or the children. Luckily for me, they had several costumes designed for older kids to wear and I fit into those :)
(Sorry, the pictures wouldn't upload)
They had a flower shop where you could arrange bouquets, a bank, a dental office (where this adorable little girl pretended to be my dentist and gave me shots and told me I can't eat donuts) they had a reading loft, you could dress up in princess dresses or firemen, police officers, and astronauts! I built a tower out of blocks, and hit up the ice cream station. They also had a pretend grocery store and a restaurant next to that.. A very cool place for $7. It kept my friend's 4 -year-old's attention for nearly two hours.
On Sunday morning we went to our church. We joked about being visitors since it had been 4 weeks since we had been there. My brother in law (Noah) and Kourtney came over and we had leftover ham for lunch that I made on Saturday, and I made cookies... I know, terrible for the diet but, we were craving some.
Speaking of cravings- we have officially hit our first weight loss goals!
Micah has hit the 20lb mark
&& I have lost 10lbs!
Now, on to the next goals! Micah-30lbs and Kim-15lbs.
I think we deserve a weekend victory trip if we hit those :) what do you think?
